Why Is My Salt Chlorine Generator Not Producing Chlorine?
If the salt chlorine generator is not producing chlorine, first check:Water flow through the systemSalt levelWater temperatureOutput settingCell conditionThe system will not produce chlorine when there is insufficient water flow. A No Flow condition indicates that not enough water is passing through the cell. The system also stops chlorine production when the salt level is too low or when the water temperature is below approximately 52°F (11°C).
Why Does My Salt Cell Show Low Salt Even After Adding Salt?
First confirm the actual pool salt level. The system displays:Salt Low: below 2,800 ppmSalt Normal: 2,800–4,500 ppmSalt High: above 4,500 ppmIf the salt level is too low, the system will reduce chlorine production. If salt falls below approximately 2,600 ppm, chlorine production will stop until salt is added. After adding salt, allow the pool circulation system to run for at least 24 hours before checking the updated salt reading.
Can a Dirty Salt Cell Cause Incorrect Salt Readings?

Yes.

If the cell requires cleaning, salt readings and chlorine production performance may be affected.

Before replacing the cell, check:

  • Cell cleanliness
  • Salt level
  • System operation

A dirty cell does not automatically mean the cell has failed

.
Why Does My Salt Chlorine Generator Show High Salt?
A high salt warning occurs when the salt level is above approximately:4,500 ppmHigh salt conditions increase the risk of corrosion and deterioration of pool equipment and surfaces. Before adding or removing salt, confirm the actual pool salinity.
Why Is My Salt Chlorine Generator Showing No Flow?
A No Flow condition means insufficient water flow is passing through the salt chlorine generator.Check:Pool pump operationWater circulationFlow sensor conditionPlumbing installationThe flow sensor is designed to ensure adequate water flow through the system. Without proper flow, chlorine production stops.
